Stop hitting plateaus: The power of progressive training

    Who this is for

Have you ever wanted someone to walk you through yoga, so you can actually understand it in your body?

Maybe you’ve taken classes for years and can follow along just fine, but if someone asked you why a pose works, or what your breath is actually doing, you’d be guessing. Or maybe you’ve watched people move into headstands and arm balances and have no idea where you’d even start.

Drop-in classes teach you the shape of a pose, not the mechanics behind it. You copy what the teacher does, and if it doesn’t quite land, you assume that’s just how your body works. Nobody breaks down what your hips, shoulders, or breath actually need to get there.

The Accelerator teaches yoga like a skill, not a vibe. Poses broken down step by step so you understand the mechanics, breathwork built into every session because breath is most of what makes a practice work, and one of the 8 limbs of yoga covered each week, so you understand what you’re doing and why, not just what it looks like.

“I felt I got my money’s worth and more. The breakdown videos for new poses were excellent, and learning the Niyamas and Yamas added so much depth.”

12 weeks from now, you’ll understand your practice well enough to keep building on it yourself.

    The Accelerator

Progressive. Practical. Nothing left to figure out.

Every module includes a routine to help you move better and stay active, built through pose breakdowns, breathwork practice, and an 8-limb lesson. Every week, one new focus. Poses are taught step by step so you learn the mechanics, not just the shape. Breathwork is woven into every session because breath is what makes a yoga practice actually work. Each week includes a short lesson on one of the 8 limbs of yoga, so you start to understand what this practice is actually about, not just what it looks like.

Less than 90 minutes a week. All on-demand, at your pace, no calls to schedule.

By the end, you have a body that moves better and a practice you understand well enough to keep building on your own.

    12-week curriculum

    3 phases. Clear progression throughout.

Every module includes a pose breakdown, breathwork practice, an 8 limbs lesson, and a reflection prompt. Nothing assumed, nothing skipped.

    Weeks 1–3  ·  Phase 1

    Foundation

Week 1: Goal Setting Clarify your why, set your schedule, and start week 1 with a clear plan.
Week 2: Foundations Sun salutations, the standing sequence, and the breath fundamentals that run through everything.
Week 3: Balance Balance comes from stabilizer muscles rarely trained elsewhere. Feet, hips, and core built from the ground up.
    Weeks 4–7  ·  Phase 2

    Expand

Week 4: Twists Spinal decompression, hip and thoracic mobility. Relief that carries into everything else you do.
Week 5: Binds Shoulder mobility and deep hip work. Counters the rounded posture built from screens and sitting.
Week 6: Splits Hip flexors shortened from sitting. Static and PNF techniques — the approach that produces lasting results.
Week 7: Backbends Open the front body. Strengthen the back. Counteract the daily folding your body does.
    Weeks 8–12  ·  Phase 3

    Take Flight

Week 8: Headstand Clear progressions for both variations. Use your arms and shoulders to carry the load.
Week 9: Arm Balances A Arm balances are about mechanics, not strength. Crow broken down so you feel exactly what it takes.
Week 10: Forearm Stand Deep shoulder opening and upper body strength, built step by step.
Week 11: Arm Balances B More advanced shapes. The payoff for everything built in the weeks before.
Week 12: Handstand Kickups, wall drills, endurance holds. A full reflection on where you started and where you are now.

Do the Accelerator on your own, or with Heather guiding you through it.

The Accelerator works as a self-guided 12 weeks, built so nothing is left to figure out on your own. But if you want more than the videos and weekly emails, if you want Heather actually watching how you move and adjusting the breakdown to your body, so you’re never guessing whether you’re doing a pose right, that’s Accelerator Plus.

    From the founding cohort

Real results from the first group through.

“I’m a runner and a lifter, and I always struggled with yoga because I didn’t have the time for an hour-long studio practice. This program taught me that you don’t need an hour every time for it to count as yoga. It can be a 10, 15, 20-minute practice at home. That’s been the most helpful thing, and now I’m doing yoga once or twice a week because of it.”

    Kori

Runner and lifter. Outflow Yoga Accelerator graduate.

    ★★★★★

“I went to Japan for a week, hiking over rocks, roots, and stairs all day, and came back with no sore quads or hips. Stronger shoulders and forearms. My forward fold improved too.”

    Steph, Michigan

Mountain biker, hiker, snowboarder. Completed the Accelerator and has maintained a consistent practice since.

    ★★★★★

“Better understanding of yoga, better strength and flexibility, and a boost of confidence. It was informative, refreshing, challenging, and amazing overall.”

    Swati, Colorado

Hiker, backpacker, snowboarder. General increase in mindfulness and consistency of exercise after 12 weeks.

    Common questions

    A few things worth addressing.

“I’m a complete beginner. Will I keep up?”

The program starts with fundamentals and builds week by week. Every pose has a progression so you work the version that fits your body right now. You don’t need a base — you build one here.

“I’ve tried yoga before and it never became a habit.”

That’s usually because it wasn’t progressive. Each practice was disconnected from the last, it didn’t build on what came before. The Accelerator gives you one focused module each week and weekly emails to keep you on track. The structure does the work that motivation can’t sustain on its own.

“What does yoga have to do with recovery?”

More than most people expect. Understanding the mechanics of a pose and how to breathe through it changes how your joints and tissues recover between hard efforts, so most people notice they’re moving and recovering better along the way. But that’s a side effect of the Accelerator, not the point of it. The real goal is a practice you actually understand: mechanics, breath, and the philosophy behind it, not just the shapes.

“I don’t care about handstands and arm balances, I just want to understand yoga.”

That’s most of the program. The curriculum builds toward arm balances and inversions by week 8, but the mechanics, breathwork, and 8 limbs lessons apply to every pose you do, foundational or advanced. Even if you never attempt a handstand, you’ll finish understanding your practice in a way most yoga classes never teach.

    “I’m not flexible enough.”

Flexibility is a result of the program, not a requirement for it. Every pose has a modification. You work at your level, and that level changes over 12 weeks.

“90 minutes a week sounds like a lot.”

The sessions are short and focused, designed to fit around a real schedule. All content is pre-recorded so you do each session when it works for you. Most people fit it into a lunch break or a weekday evening.

    “Will I actually finish a 12-week program?”

One module per week keeps the pace manageable, and weekly emails keep you on track between sessions. The founding cohort finished. You can too.

“What if I need more support than the videos and weekly emails?”

Accelerator Plus adds Heather directly: 3 live 1:1 sessions across the 12 weeks, a weekly check-in, and WhatsApp access in between to send questions or a video of a pose and get feedback on what to adjust. Join the waitlist and I’ll send the current options when enrollment opens.

    Your coach

    Hi, I’m Heather.

I run, mountain bike, hike, and teach snowboarding. Fifteen years coaching movement across endurance, strength, and yoga. For most active people, yoga is the missing piece.

I built the Accelerator because it’s what I needed and couldn’t find. Something that treated yoga like a training program, where each week builds on the last and nothing is left to figure out on your own.

I also spent 10 years failing at crow pose until someone broke it down properly. Had it in a week. That’s how I teach everything in this program: clear mechanics, clear steps, no guessing.
