Outflow Studio

Build a yoga practice that fits your life and keeps you progressing.

Outflow Studio gives you structured yoga Practice Plans with classes that build week by week, so you can practice more consistently, improve your strength, flexibility and balance, and keep learning without rearranging your life around yoga.

Most plans take just 2–3 practices a week, with plenty of 10–30 minute classes that fit around your workouts, work, travel and everything else you want to do.

Expect more from your yoga practice.

Yoga can help you move better, get stronger, improve your balance, feel more flexible, learn new skills and find a little more calm in your day. You’ve probably felt some of those benefits already.

Building a consistent practice that keeps moving forward is harder. Maybe you take a studio class when it fits your schedule and practice at home when you can. You’ve tried YouTube classes, saved plenty of videos, or gone through stretches where you practiced regularly and others where yoga disappeared from your week.

Even when you are practicing, it’s easy to bounce from one focus to another. Hips today, a flow next week, balance when you think about it. It can be hard to tell whether all those individual classes are adding up to the progress you want.

Outflow gives your practice structure, so the time you spend on your mat has somewhere to go.

Outflow Studio Practice Plan
Monthly Practice Plans

Yoga, but with an actual plan.

Every month inside Outflow Studio, I create a new 4-week Practice Plan with 2–3 recommended classes each week.

The practices build on each other from week to week. You spend enough time working on one area to learn it, repeat it and notice what changes.

One month you might improve your balance. Another month you might work on your hamstrings, build toward deeper backbends, strengthen your practice, work toward a headstand, or focus on short flows that are easy to fit into a busy week.

You can follow the newest plan or choose from any of the previous plans based on what you’re most interested in working on right now.

There are more than 150 classes inside Outflow Studio. The Practice Plans organize those classes into clear progressions, so you have plenty of variety and a clear place to start.

Start here this week.

You can begin practicing as soon as you join. If the current Practice Plan sounds good to you, start with Week 1 and follow along. If another goal catches your attention, choose one of the previous plans and start there.

Follow this month’s plan

Start with the first class and follow the progression week by week.

Choose your goal

Pick a previous Practice Plan that matches what you want to work on and begin with Week 1.

Your plan shows you which class to take, how long it is and what comes next. You can look at your week and decide where those 2–3 practices fit.

Maybe you have 15 minutes before work on Tuesday, 20 minutes after a ride on Thursday and more time for a longer practice over the weekend. You can make the plan work around your schedule while still following the progression.

The full class library is always there when you want something different. You have enough structure to stay on track and enough flexibility to make the practice work in real life.

The approach behind Outflow

This is Progressive Yoga.

I created Progressive Yoga to give you a practice you can build on. Inside Outflow, that comes down to 3 things.

Fit for Real Life

Your yoga practice needs to fit into the life you actually want to live. Keep it short when you need to, find a rhythm you can maintain, and fit yoga around running, lifting, riding, hiking, skiing, work and travel.

Most Practice Plans ask for 2–3 classes a week, and you’ll find plenty of 10–30 minute options when time is tight.

Keep It Short · Find Your Rhythm · Upgrade Your Cooldown

Move Better

Your yoga practice can help you restore your range of motion, build strength and learn to move with more control.

Those changes show up on your mat and in the rest of your life. Better balance matters on a trail. Stronger hips matter when you ride or run. Maintaining your range helps you stay capable of doing the things you love for years to come.

Restore Your Range · Build Strength · Move With Control

Practice With Purpose

Having something to work on makes practice more interesting and gives you a reason to come back to it.

Your Practice Plan tells you where to start, gives you time to repeat and improve, and leads you toward the next step. You can work toward a pose, improve a skill, build strength or notice that something you’ve practiced for years is starting to feel easier.

Follow the Plan · Progress the Practice · Choose Your Challenge

Want to see why I teach yoga this way?

In this short video, I explain why taking completely different yoga classes all the time can make it harder to see progress, and how repetition and structure can change your practice.

Hear from Outflow Studio members.

“Less stiff, more range of motion. I can now do a yoga squat, less tight quads, hamstrings, and hips. After a year of consistent practice I noticed more flexibility and balance not just in sports but in daily life.”

“Less pain, more mobility, and more mental peace. Learning snowboarding and going on long backpacking trips required more check-ins with my body, and I’m able to be kinder to myself in that process.”
Swati

“Faster recovery, less stiff, less shoulder tightness. Outflow Studio helps me build strength and flexibility so I can get more out of my sports.”
Alex

“The variety of classes, especially the shorter ones. Being able to do yoga on the go, any time, without spending over an hour including travel. So worth it if you’re trying to expand your yoga practice.”

Enjoy your yoga practice more.

Yoga can be something you look forward to because you’re curious about what comes next.

Maybe you want to get steadier in balance poses, feel stronger in Chaturanga or crow, improve your flexibility, finally start working toward a headstand, or understand a pose you’ve never quite figured out.

There’s a lot of satisfaction in noticing that something has changed. A pose feels stronger. Your balance is steadier. You have more range. You understand what your body is doing. Something that felt impossible 3 months ago suddenly feels possible.

You get the physical and mental benefits of yoga while still having things to learn and work toward. That gives you plenty of reasons to keep coming back to your mat.

Your home practice is where progress happens.

I love practicing in yoga studios, and plenty of Outflow members do both. Studio classes give you great teachers, energy and the experience of practicing with other people. Your home practice gives you more control over what you work on and how often you work on it.

That makes home a great place for a progression. When you follow the same focus for several weeks, you get to repeat movements, practice skills more than once and build on what you did last time.

Home practice also makes consistency easier. A 20-minute class in your living room can fit into days when driving to a studio, taking a full class and driving home isn’t realistic.

There are thousands of free yoga classes on YouTube, and I’ve used them too. Choosing individual classes still leaves you responsible for deciding what to take, how the classes connect, when to repeat something and what to work on next.

Your Outflow Practice Plan handles that planning for you. You can keep taking the local classes you love and use your home practice to give the rest of your week more direction.

Heather Blackmon

Hi, I’m Heather.

I love yoga, and I also love doing a lot of things outside of yoga.

I strength train, mountain bike, hike, snowboard and recently started climbing. I understand wanting to improve at something while also having other workouts, hobbies, work and a full life competing for your time.

I’ve spent more than 15 years coaching movement and endurance sports, and I’ve continued my own yoga education through advanced teacher training and specialty study.

That background shapes the way I teach. I want you to understand what you’re doing, have a practice that feels approachable enough to keep doing, and keep finding new things that make you want to learn more.

Students often tell me that I make things easy to understand and that they appreciate the way I break poses and movements down. That’s exactly the experience I want you to have inside Outflow.

Questions before you join?

I’ve practiced yoga before, but I’m not very consistent. Is Outflow a good fit?

Yes. Outflow is designed for people who already know they want yoga in their life but want more structure around actually doing it.

The Practice Plans give you 2–3 recommended classes each week so you don’t have to decide from scratch every time you practice.

How often should I practice?

Most Practice Plans include 2–3 recommended practices each week. You can always practice more, but you don’t need to practice every day to follow the plans or make progress.

How long are the classes?

You’ll find practices ranging from about 10 minutes to longer full-length classes, with plenty of 10–30 minute options.

Do I have to follow the newest Practice Plan?

No. You can follow the current plan or choose any previous Practice Plan based on what you want to work on.

Can I take classes outside of my Practice Plan?

Yes. You have access to the full class library, so you can take something different whenever you want.

Can I still go to my local yoga studio?

Absolutely. Many members do both. Your Outflow Practice Plan can give the rest of your week more structure while you keep taking the in-person classes you enjoy.

What level is Outflow Studio?

Outflow is designed for people with some yoga experience, including people who have practiced inconsistently or are building a home practice for the first time.

I give options and break movements down so you can make the classes work for your body and experience level.

What equipment do I need?

A yoga mat is the main thing you’ll need. Some classes may use common yoga props such as blocks, a strap, or a bolster. I’ll tell you what you need before you begin the class.

What happens after my 7-day free trial?

Your membership automatically begins at $19/month after your 7-day trial. Your card is required when you start the trial, and I’ll send you a reminder email before your first payment.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel your membership yourself online in just a few clicks. There’s no long-term commitment.
